About the artist
My name is Jonathan Anderson, and I'm from the small town of Krebs, Oklahoma. For as long as I can remember, I've been painting, drawing, and creating, all the while experimenting with different mediums and styles. This trait was nurtured by a supportive and creative family growing up, and art continues to be the central focus of my life today.
For the last several years, my major focus has been in portraiture of both pets and people, as well as wildlife art. Especially with pets and animal art, I've been working very hard to establish myself as an artist. Through that dedication and constant experimentation, I've developed a signature method for portraits which is always evolving. My goal for each piece of artwork in fact, is to learn something new and apply that lesson to what comes next.
About the art
Most of my work is colored pencil based, often with added elements from light-fast markers, airbrush, pastels, and sometimes acrylic paint. The combination used depends on the portrait itself. All portraits are drawn using high quality professional materials to ensure that the portrait will maintain its fidelity for generations to come.
I take great pride in commissioned portraits, striving for a perfect likeness, and bringing out the soul of the subject be they pet or person. No portrait ships without the final product being approved by the client, and if an issue does arise with the final product, I will work with it until we are both happy. One last thing, please note also that any watermarks appearing on the pictures are not on the drawings themselves, they are purely for online copyright purposes.
